The pit of oblivion.
The real Pit of Oblivion is the imaginary place where politicians want to let all the memories that they would bother. They can certainly call Historical Memory to the amputation of the past in two halves: the half that estimate, to advertise, the other half to the pot. If they did if our past would become incomprehensible, on par with vacuous and propaganda. We have seen in recent years. But what is most annoying is that it clothed with democracy or consensus, much as it was during the carnival.
That each side has its villains we know too well, that is the spitting each other with dogged determination, not surprising, but undeserved medals hang them to mere criminals line in the collective stupidity. What we have to put up with a Don Santiago Carrillo because he clung to democracy after 1975, it was for the greater good: collective peace and the first pluralistic and democratic constitution we have had in Spain. But they want to sell it as a hero and a freedom fighter, is a mockery and an insult to reason.
But the case of Mr. Carrillo and Historical Memory are sectarian in essence, come from a part of the political spectrum, but now we are about to be told to forget the incomprehensible pressure of the overwhelming majority of our alleged representatives in Las Cortes. That is a terrorist group ETA, knows any Spanish, having the use of reason. That their actions were crimes and not heroics, too. However, despite being the band a very small section of Spanish society, has been bringing together in his favor to different political groups: first the Nationalists, after the Communists, the Socialists later and now, as icing on the pie, to the Popular.
I will not be denied that the degree of favor that she receives decreases from left to right, with the noble exception of UPyD and nationalists interested. But for it is when, who is required to fight the law in hand, says it's a political problem and not a police matter, and not afraid to negotiate with the political representatives of the murderers.
Perhaps this government has not realized that the Pit of Oblivion, which aims to hide the crimes of the band —for that is—, has a steel cover and a good lock: the majority of citizens and victims of terrorism. I hope not realize too late!
